I love East Lynn Farm in Round Hill, Virginia weddings. Mariah and Robbie wedding was over Labor Day weekend and the weather couldn´t have been better. East Lynn Farm delights me any time of the year with its beautiful landscapes.
The style of the wedding was shabby chic romantic rustic with soft blush pink, ivory, burlap and lace. Mariah´s lace ball gown with an A-line style and the bridesmaids blush pink halter top floor length outfits complemented this beautiful scheme.
Mariah incorporated a little tribute to America with a patriot displayed in hay lofts in front of the reception stairs. Other signs and details were displayed along the wedding, showing a keen attention to details by our bride, guest book, gift table, cake table, bar signs, etc. The centerpieces were made by Mariah with wine bottles wrapped in burlap and filled with baby´s breath, sound simple but it looked gorgeous.
Lawn games, such as corn hole toss, served as an easy way for guests to break the ice during the cocktail hour and continue having fun during the reception. Mariah and Robbie also added a very fun Bride and Groom game between cake cutting and bouquet gather, The Shoe Game. For this game the couple sat back to back in front of all the guests. They removed their shoes, and traded one each with the other so that they’re holding one of each. A member of the wedding party asked the couple a series of questions about themselves and their relationship. The couple answered by holding up the corresponding shoe, and the entertainment comes from the fact that they can’t see how the other is answering. A really fun question was “Who said ‘I love you’ first?”
The wedding finished with a grand exit with ribbons held by the guests. Mariah and Rob wedding was a lot of fun and I wish them the best in this new stage of their lives. Thank you for having me.
