LET'S FIND OUT
Finding the perfect venue for your wedding might feel like a great achievement (and it is!) but what many brides-to-be often don’t understand is that your venue coordinator is not the same as your wedding planner. Having a venue coordinator is essential for the setup of your location, but it doesn’t mean you don’t need a wedding coordinator, too! Read some inputs from a Northern Virginia wedding planner.
The main difference is that your venue coordinator is here to deal with any venue-related issues, such as food and setup. Their job is to act as a liaison between you, your significant other and the venue’s operation team. This includes showcasing the venue, consulting you on menu choices and beverages, and arranging tastings. The top priority of your wedding coordinator, on the other hand, is you. Your wedding coordinator is there from the initial planning stages, such as reviewing the contracts, researching and recommending suppliers, as well as any wedding day preparations, such as organizing rehearsals and confirming details with your contracted vendors.
Simply, your wedding coordinator’s main goal is making sure your wedding runs completely smoothly. From arranging the cake cutting to letting you know when it’s time for the bouquet toss, your wedding coordinator is there to take care of every minor task during your big day. They’ll, of course, check with the venue, but it’s the venue coordinator’s responsibility to ensure that your wedding location is set up correctly and the suppliers adhere to the rules.
In the ideal scenario, your wedding and venue coordinators will be different people, but will also collaborate and work closely to ensure your wedding will go as smoothly as possible. However, your venue coordinator cannot and should not take care of other arrangements or wedding-related tasks: this is what your wedding coordinator is here to help you with. If you’re planning a wedding, make sure you have the right people for the job and look up one of the best Northern Virginia wedding planners to ensure your big day will be a complete success.
Thank you for reading and good luck with your wedding planning!
