Matt and Heather have such a beautiful love story, they met back in 2012 during their college years, everything started as a friendship and ended in a lovely Hybrid Mountainside wedding surrounded by their family and friends. Matt and Heather’s Blue Mountain Lodge wedding was perfect and full of personal and meaningful details with a rustic and scenic ambiance. Check all the beautiful details below and find great inspiration.
Blue Mountain Lodge is located high on a cliff in Virginia’s enchanting Blue Ridge with with a spectacular view of the Shenandoah Valley, breathtaking! The best views are from the reception from the balcony. Just beautiful!
The ceremony was on the lawn with the mountain view, mocktail hour under the building, and the reception was inside the building.
Now do you agree with me?
Heather’s wedding dress is a Madison James, modern and sophisticated with a fresh silhouette, and delicate lace textures and patterns.
The bridal bouquet is a loosely draping rustic bouquet of Plum colored Dahlia, Blue thistle, Panda anemone, Café Latte Copper Garden roses, plum alstroemeria and eucalyptus with stems wrapped in Champagne colored satin ribbon.
The color palette was Navy, Plum and Rose Gold with a nod to Irish heritage. These colors were used throughout the wedding including the invitation suite, flowers, reception tables and all décor.
The reception area was beautifully decorated with white poly linen, navy blue satin napkins and Navy blue satin pintuck for accent tables. The reception tablespaces were live potted Ivy and copper with wooden accents.
The farmer’s market table (dessert table) was decorated with a 2 tier naked rustic cake, mini pies in different flavors, wooden crates and framed pictures of family members that weren’t physically present.
Matt and Heather added many personal details and touches throughout the wedding to demonstrate their styles and personalities. These are some of the details:
The ceremony was beautiful and heartfelt. Matt (the groom) was waiting for the bride at the altar playing his guitar while she walked down the aisle (so cute). And then they knocked it out of the park with their personally written vows (insert watery eyes). It was perfect!
I loved working with Heather and Matt, and I’m so happy they had a fantastic day to remember for the rest of their lives. Below you can find more pictures of their special day.
