LET'S FIND OUT
The venue for this wedding was The East Lynn Farm, located in Loundoun County; specifically in Round Hill, VA. This historic dairy barn complex offers the perfect setting for a rustic, chic, farm wedding. The ceremony backdrop was perfect with the mountains and sunset. The cocktail hour and reception were celebrated at the barn on the dairy barn and hay loft.
Alicia Cooper (MOB) contacted me to help out with day-of coordination for her daughter’s wedding. Alicia is wedding planner, so she was just looking for somebody to help her be the Mother of the Bride on the wedding day without worrying about how the day would unfold. Between Alicia and her daughter, they designed and planned a beautiful wedding.
On the wedding day, the bride looked absolutely lovely in her wedding dress. She wore a lace dress with a traditional Spanish looking veil. Her hair was braided and decorated with little delicate purple flowers.
The style of the wedding was a relaxed family style. The color scheme was orange, teal, grey and rose gold.
The groom´s family is originally from Perú. In order to add some cultural details the ceremony program, signs and best man speech were made in English and Spanish (including me, the bilingual wedding coordinator hehehe). In addition, the bride´s family added some Peruvian flavors to the meal.
The flowers were collected from the beautiful flower garden in the East Lynn Farm and assembled for the wedding party.
My favorite moment of the wedding was the unity tree planting ceremony. This act was performed during the ceremony and symbolized the joining together of two individuals and families. After the ceremony, the couple plants the tree at their home or a special location to symbolize the putting down of roots, longevity and strengths in their marriage.
Another memory from this wedding is the proposal story. Franco rode 34 hours on his motorcycle to spell the Words “Marry me” for Cheryl on his Google route. How romantic is this!
I had so much fun at Cheryl and Franco´s Wedding. Thanks so much for having me!
