Stylish Planning by VFS has been serving brides for 6 years now..wow can’t believe it. I feel so grateful and lucky for all the opportunities I have had to help couples create memories that will last a lifetime. My business has evolved tremendously over the years, and I feel it is necessary to reflect that in my brand.
It just felt right to develop a new identity that reflects my personality more and speaks to my ideal clients. That led me to rename my business, create a new color palette, logo, website and even add new services. Surely this quarantine inspired me. Rebranding a business is not an easy task, that’s for sure, but it’s very exciting and even more exciting to be sharing it with you.
When this quarantine started, I felt like I would finally have the time to dedicate more time to my business plus I needed something to focus on. This led me to take “building a brand that attracts” training with Fabi Paolini, she is awesome! She inspired me to rebrand my business and create the mindset I need to get out of my comfort zone. I also learned to define my brand values, mission, marketing strategies and more.
After intensive work and reflecting on the existence of my business, the heart of why the company exists was written in our mission statement which I would love to share with you:
“Dedicated to help happy brides to reduce stress and stop feeling overwhelmed during their wedding planning and wedding day through meaningful guidance, outstanding expertise and providing the perfect planning tools”
For my color palette, logo and name I got inspired by Whitney from Twelve One Design. I found her on a Facebook group and the timing couldn’t have been more perfect. She did a “Branding challenge” on her Facebook group and it was so inspiring and helpful. Doing that challenge I nailed the color palette, logo and new name I wanted for my business.
Since I started my business 6 years ago, I named my business just because I had to put a name on it but always had that feeling I needed something that feels more like me. I just didn’t have an idea how to do that until Whitney (Twelve One Design) arrived in my life, she inspired me so much. After listening to her on Facebook Live, I went to bed and woke up in the middle of the night with this idea: V & V Wedding Planning & Coordination.
Here is the explanation of the V’s:
-> The first V represents the place where I was born and raised and where part of my heart will belong forever, that is Venezuela, the place that helped shaped me to be who I am right now and where I had the best childhood and young adulthood I could have ever asked for.
-> The second V represents my name “Virginia” and the place I live right now “VA”, where I put down my roots and grew my own family, the second half of my life and the place I have learned to love and make my own.
The color palette is the perfect combination of navy, blush pink and neutral colors. I love that the navy blue makes a statement with a classic and sophisticated style. The blush pink adds that girly touch and the warm neutrals balanced everything out. I hope you love them as much as I do.
The logo, ugh the logo, it was so hard to get to what I wanted but with patience and so much help and feedback from Twelve one design and Daa Social media I got my simple yet sophisticated logo that I love very much 😊
Of course, with all these changes we needed a new website. I did the website myself and twelve one design made the final touches. I was aiming for a professional, classic, clean look and I think I nailed it. The pictures used on our website are from one the best photographers Maddy Williams Photography, she captured the beauty of the couple and the venue in a such unique way. The location is East Lynn Farm, which is one of our favorite venues to work with, every corner of this place is breathtaking. The flowers are from JP Wedding Flowers, Jenny is awesome to work with.
Our Social media will get a refresh too and you will see me posting there more often. This is a part of my business I have not taken care of in a very long time. Mostly a lack a planification and strategy.
Other benefits of this re-branding are that I reevaluated my packages, took a couple off and add a new one that I’m very excited about. This is Virtual Wedding Planning which will be so helpful for brides planning an intimate wedding but still need guidance and support during their planning. This package is still in the making but will be live soon 😊
We also have been working to offer free resources for our brides:
The one I’m most excited about is the 7-day Free email course that will help brides to start their planning. We have called it “Easy Breezy Wedding Planning”. Brides will get a step-by-step wedding planning course with tips, ideas and information to plan their wedding and reduce stress and feeling overwhelmed.
We will also have a support group on Facebook for brides to ask any questions and have a community where they can talk about their wedding ALL DAY. Come join us in the “V&V wedding planning squad”
Oh, and I cannot forget our blog. I have been working on my posts which are full of wedding planning tips and inspiration. Go check it out.
Other changes include having a software for our clients and improving our CRM, the goal is to enhance our clients’ experience and make things easier for them (always the goal).
The software includes collaborative checklists, timelines, guest list management, floor plan creation tool, management tools to streamline our workflow and manage every detail along the way. No more spreadsheets or word files back and forth (woohoo). Clients can even upload files/vendors contracts in the system and do an online signature for our agreement. I’m so excited to start using it.
As you can see I have been very busy, and there is still a lot to do but I’m excited to have the first phase of this rebranding process ready to go: The launch of our website and have social media strategy. The best is yet to come.
