For this wedding, the venue served as the perfect backdrop for an elegant black and white affair. Romantic rooftop sunset, sophisticated florals, and thoughtfully curated details transformed the space into an atmosphere that felt both luxurious and inviting. Conveniently located within Northern VA and just outside Washington, D.C., AXL Community offers couples the perfect balance of accessibility and modern sophistication.

Design & Details: Modern and Chic Romance Inspiration

The design of this AXL Community wedding embraced a timeless black and white palette with soft, modern touches that felt both elegant and deeply personal. The venue’s outdoor rooftop patio offered the perfect setting for a romantic dusk ceremony overlooking the city—creating an atmosphere that felt intimate and effortlessly chic.

Following the ceremony, guests transitioned into the indoor/outdoor penthouse reception space, where thoughtful details created an inviting atmosphere. Delicate white florals added softness throughout the space, complementing the refined aesthetic while allowing skyline views to shine.

One of the most memorable aspects of the evening was the thoughtful personalization throughout the celebration. Guests were welcomed to their seats with individual hand-painted canvases featuring their names and table assignments—an artistic detail that doubled as a meaningful keepsake. Instead of a traditional guest book, guests signed playing cards, adding a playful and interactive element to the evening alongside a creative guestbook calendar.

To make the celebration feel even more personal, family photographs were thoughtfully displayed throughout the reception space, honoring loved ones and adding warmth to the modern setting. The evening concluded with guests gathering on the outdoor dance floor beneath the night sky, creating a vibrant and energetic atmosphere that perfectly balanced sophistication with celebration.

What We Provided: Signature Event Management

For this elegant AXL Community wedding, the couple selected our Signature Event Management package—designed for couples who want professional guidance throughout their engagement paired with seamless wedding day execution. From the moment they booked, planning support began immediately with monthly check-ins, unlimited email communication, and access to our wedding planning platform to keep every detail organized and on track.

Throughout the planning process, we collaborated closely with the couple through a series of planning meetings to refine logistics, finalize details, and create a cohesive experience from ceremony through reception. We also developed a custom wedding timeline and layout, along with a comprehensive Wedding Day Packet that included vendor details, family timelines, and readiness schedules to ensure every aspect of the day flowed effortlessly.

As the wedding weekend arrived, our team led both the ceremony rehearsal coordination and full wedding day management. With one lead planner, an assistant coordinator, and a dedicated bridal assistant on-site, the couple was able to remain fully present and enjoy each moment knowing every detail was thoughtfully managed behind the scenes.
