LET'S FIND OUT
With all that is going on in the world right now, at least planning your wedding should be fun and easy. That is why I wanted to make it easy for you by listing my favorite 10 outdoor wedding venues in Northern Virginia.
East Lynn Farm is in Round Hill, VA specifically in Loudoun County. This is an historical farm venue with more than 140 acres that offers a variety of customizable outdoor and indoor spaces to choose from for your ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. They have a little cottage on the farm complex where you can have the wedding weekend experience with your family and loves ones.
Their outdoor capacity for a socially distanced wedding is up to 350 guests. Their prices are between $5,950-$11,950, depending on the package and day of the week you choose. Their rental fee includes ceremony chairs, Chiavari chairs, reception tables, getting ready suite and more.
I love that they allow you to choose any licensed caterer you like and bring your own alcohol without additional charge.

The 48 Field is in Leesburg, VA. They offer a variety of indoor and outdoor locations and their standard capacity for receptions is 125 guests, including space for a dance floor. Their regular-season Saturday rental rates begin at $7,350 and includes 12 hours of exclusive access, Farm house for getting ready, all tables and chairs, and the best part is that they give you access to their décor collection to borrow for your event.
The Farm Retreat at Willow Creek is in Culpeper, VA, one hour north of Charlottesville. This venue has a variety of outdoor event spaces that can accommodate for events from 20 to 175 guests.
Their rental fees are between $4,495 to $5,295. The access to the different amenities of the venue depends on the package you choose but the good news is that all of them have 12 hour access to the venue, so that’s plenty of time for set up. The downside is that you will have to provide a tent, chairs, and tables.
Shadow Creek is in Purcellville, VA. They offer a very romantic, rustic chic equestrian barn, that makes the perfect place for a classic chic barn wedding. The venue has a capacity for up to 300 guests, offers indoor and outdoor ceremony options, 9 hours of rental space, outdoor entertainment options for your guests and for a small fee they will provide a beautifully groomed horse for cocktail hour (how cute is this).
They also have a beautifully converted horse trailer available for rent that they call “The Hitched bar”. It’s so pretty and a unique piece for your wedding.
Morais Vineyards is a winery wedding venue in Bealeton, VA that is well known for its elegant and romantic European style. They have several ceremony locations to choose from, like the pergola, the chapel or indoor ceremony.
The venue hosts up to 250 guests and the rental fee includes: reception tables, ceremony location, the grand ballroom, bar room, balconies, bridal and groom suite and fully equipped kitchen. For a large wedding, you will have to use the ballroom, but they offer outdoor options for small gatherings. The downside is that you must purchase a minimum of their wine selection for the event.
Easily accessed via Route 211, only an hour away from DC. Narmada Winery is an outdoor wedding venue that can host grand or more intimate weddings. Their indoor capacity is 50 people; the outdoors spaces can accommodate 250 or more. The venue rental rates are based on the number of guests and the location you select. They offer special rates for weekdays or Sunday weddings. You will need to provide a tent, chairs, tables, etc.
Airlie is a hotel and wedding venue located in Warrenton (my hometown😊), just 50 miles outside D.C., offering multiple options for event spaces. For weddings, the favorite ceremony spot is in the formal garden—it honestly looks like a fairytale movie there. The reception is at the pavilion which is very pretty with a timeless look. They also offer indoor options for small weddings and gatherings.
The venue can hold up to 300 guests and with an all-inclusive policy their rental fee includes linens, chair rentals, glassware, and other “extras”. The downside is that you can only use their caterer services.
Poplar Springs Manor, located outside of Warrenton, is a historic house with a lot of personality and elegant touches all around. They offer indoor and outdoor venues for your ceremony and multiple options for an intimate or large reception. Their stoned patio, newly built ballroom, and tree line are all favorite spots at this venue.
They can host events up to 250 guests, and they are an all-inclusive wedding venue, which makes the planning easier. Their rental fee includes chairs, tables, linens, silverware, and glassware. They have their in-house caterer, but you can bring your own if you prefer. The venue also offers lodging for your guests including a Spa for a relaxing weekend.
The Inn at Vint Hill is located just 50 miles outside D.C. and it’s a nice outdoor wedding venue in Northern Virginia. They offer a selection of spaces and rooms for wedding ceremonies, receptions, cocktail hour, and rehearsal dinners. The historic domestic lawn is ideal for outdoor entertaining and the elegant ballrooms are perfect for an elegant event.
You can rent the venue for 11 hours which gives you plenty of time to set up, party and break down. Their prices vary depending on the day of the week, it ranges from $2,500 to $7,500. Holidays have a different price and during winter they offer a 50% discount. They have always have their tent set up during wedding season which removes the hassle of renting one.
Aspen Dale Winery is in Delaplane, VA right along 66. This historic venue is surrounded by stone walls, horse padlocks and beautiful lawns which makes for rustic yet elegant ambiance.
They offer a beautiful outdoor space, and their indoor location hosts up to 80 guests. Their prices vary based on the season. They are super friendly and accommodating, and they will work with you on making your event perfect. My wedding was there, and it was a dream to work with them.
