Meet the Couple
Bob and Kayla’s love story includes just the right mix of adventure and romance. During a weekend getaway in the mountains of Virginia, Bob planned thoughtful surprises — champagne and chocolates! What started as a simple hike quickly turned into an off-roading adventure complete with water crossings and no cell service! On a quiet mountain overlook during a picnic, Bob asked Kayla to marry him — and although neither remembers exactly what was said, they both remember how special it felt.
When planning their wedding, Bob and Kayla focused on creating an unforgettable experience for their guests, with incredible food and drinks at the top of their priority list. More than anything, they wanted their family and friends to feel celebrated and truly have fun together on the dance floor.

Blue Valley Vineyard & Winery offers a truly luxurious vineyard wedding experience with breathtaking panoramic views. The couple exchanged vows in the romantic Sunset Terrace, overlooking mountain views and lush vineyards. Later, guests moved to the Main Tasting Room for an elegant and classic reception with stunning views in the background.
With over 20,000 square feet of thoughtfully designed indoor space — including a grand room with floor-to-ceiling windows, a barrel room, and a loft — as well as stunning outdoor settings, Blue Valley Vineyard provides a variety of beautiful backdrops for every part of the celebration.
Our Wedding Planning Approach
Kayla and Bob chose our Full Wedding Planning Package, allowing them to enjoy a seamless and fully supported planning experience from start to finish. We began with comprehensive styling and design guidance, creating a thoughtfully curated mood board that reflected the timeless, elegant aesthetic they envisioned. From there, we carefully sourced and secured a trusted team of vendors whose expertise and style matched the couple’s priorities. We guided every detail — sourcing and coordinating trusted vendors, creating and tracking their budget, developing the design direction, and managing timelines, layout, and flow for the entire wedding weekend. The package also included unlimited communication, rehearsal and day-of coordination, plus a dedicated bridal assistant on wedding day. Our team handled every logistical detail so Kayla and Bob could be fully present and simply savor each moment.

The ceremony design felt both classic and airy, featuring a palette of dusty blue, crisp white, and fresh green. Bridesmaids wore flowing dusty blue gowns in varied silhouettes, creating a look that was cohesive yet beautifully individualized. Their bouquets of white roses and eucalyptus mirrored the florals framing the arbor.
The aisle was lined with gold lanterns, soft candlelight, and touches of greenery, adding warmth and romance to the open-air setting. White folding chairs created a clean, timeless ceremony layout, allowing the floral arch and scenic backdrop to take center stage. As golden hour light settled over the landscape, the entire celebration felt intimate, heartfelt, and serene — a perfect reflection of a love story!
The reception was a beautifully coordinated setting that balanced soft neutrals with delicate dusty blue accents and refined gold details, creating an effortlessly polished celebration. This specific reception design allowed the space to feel elegant, airy, and romantic with a soft, refined color palette.
The room’s large windows and glass doors look out onto a scenic landscape at sunset. The natural light added a warm, golden glow to the space, enhancing the intimate atmosphere. The gold Chiavari chairs added a touch of classic sophistication. The fireplace accented with greenery and florals, along with decorative initials added a personalized detail for the couple. The entire design reflected a timeless and romantic wedding aesthetic.
Personalized Details
Kayla and Bob infused their romantic wedding day with meaningful details that beautifully reflected their story and family. Their beloved cat, Piper — was featured in the custom cake design and cocktail napkins featuring her photo. The guests enjoyed a personalized crossword puzzle during cocktail hour, every touch felt intentional and uniquely them.
Music, which first brought them together when they met in choir, played a special role throughout the celebration. In a heartfelt and joyful moment during the reception, the couple sang alongside friends, creating a deeply personal memory.
Family craftsmanship was woven into the day as well. The father of the bride lovingly created hand-blown glass pumpkins and wine stoppers for each guest — meaningful, handcrafted favors that doubled as lasting keepsakes.
During the ceremony, Kayla and Bob took part in a romantic wine box ceremony. Together, they sealed a bottle of wine and handwritten love letters inside a wooden box to be opened on a future anniversary — a beautiful time capsule symbolizing their commitment and the life they are building.
